This studio project contains two stages.
The first stage is operative study about distortion and density. Groupings of tweeted lines that compose twisted surfaces and therefore the tension is generated. Each unit is a power generator and conversations happens between units. Physical attribute of each units starts to deform.
In order to create the tension of space brought by intersected surfaces,the strategy
is using groups of repetitive line in different density orientation and composition.Tension is expressed by these group of lines that can be seen as structure and reference of repetitive programs.A uniformed strategy helps unite the entire design and variations is derived in a more controlled manner.
The second stage is transformation of the operative study into library space. A repository and memorial library of authors-current and past-this library is a new public space for individual meditation and group learning.Circulation is fluid and rooms are formed without explicit boundaries.Light and views are modulated in a field of gently twisting steel cable-reinforced facades and skylights.Spatial variety and scale are created within a structural gradient informed by the densities of tensile members,and of information housed within and between these skins.
